Trilby Cream

Trilby Cream
Peal an orange, separate the segments and cut each in three pieces. Cut ten marshmallows in tiny bits. Chop 3 tablespoons of nuts. Whip ¾ cup of whipping cream until stiff, adding 2 tablespoons of sugar; then fold in the prepared orange, marshmallow and nuts and 2 tablespoons of strawberry preserve. Pile in tall thin parfait glasses and top with a little grated sweet chocolate.

I like the jam to flavor the whipped cream: subtle but delicious. Otherwise the whipped cream seems over sweetened, and the whole was a bit cloying. I think the jam provides plenty enough sweetness without the added sugar. The whole thing is nice enough, but I didn’t love it

I think this honnestly would be nicer layered as a trifle, rather than all jumbled together.
